Refund policy

We compose every Edit by hand, in our studio, one order at a time. Because of how each piece is put together, our return policy is specific. Read it once and you'll know exactly where you stand.

The short version

• Edits are final sale. Because each Edit is composed to order and put together by hand for the recipient, we cannot accept returns on Edits.
• Individual products may be returned within 30 days of delivery for store credit, in original condition with original packaging.
• Skincare, body care and personal-care items are final sale, for hygiene reasons.
• Bottles, nipples and feeding pieces are final sale, for hygiene reasons.
• Candles are final sale, as with anything made to be burned.
• Seasonal pieces are final sale, as with anything ordered in for the season.
• HATCH apparel and intimates are final sale, in keeping with industry standard for postpartum and nursing wear.
• Oversized pieces are final sale. Ride-on cars, doll strollers, walkers, rugs and floor cushions cannot be sent back to us.
• Pieces made to order by the maker are final sale, such as handmade dolls sewn for your order.
• Sale items, gift cards and customized items are final sale.
• Damaged or incorrect items: tell us within 7 days of delivery and we'll make it right. Final sale never changes this.

Why Edits are final sale

Each Edit is composed to order: put together by hand in our studio, wrapped in tissue, and prepared for the recipient you have in mind. Edits are not held in pre-packed inventory. Because of how they are made, we cannot accept returns on Edits once shipped. Please review the contents of each Edit before ordering, and write to us at hello@milkandhoneybabies.com with any questions first. We are happy to walk you through what's inside.

Returning an individual product

If an individual product (one not part of an Edit) is not right, you may return it within 30 days of delivery for store credit. To qualify:

• The item must be unused, in original condition
• All original packaging, tags and inserts must be intact
• Skincare, body care, personal-care items and candles are excluded
• Bottles, nipples and feeding pieces are excluded
• Seasonal pieces are excluded
• HATCH apparel and intimates are excluded
• Oversized pieces are excluded
• Pieces made to order by the maker are excluded
• Sale items, gift cards and customized orders are final sale

To start a return, email hello@milkandhoneybabies.com with your order number and the item you'd like to return. We'll respond within two business days with return instructions.

Oversized pieces

A few of the pieces we carry are too large to send back to us at a sensible cost: ride-on cars, doll strollers, walkers, rugs and floor cushions. These are marked final sale on their product pages before you order. If one arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, that is a different matter and we handle it under the section below.

Seasonal pieces

Pieces made for a season, the Christmas books, the advent calendar, the holiday candles, are ordered in specially and cannot be sent back to the maker. They are marked final sale on their product pages before you order.

Return shipping

The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend a tracked, insured service, since items lost in transit cannot be credited.

If your item arrived damaged, defective or incorrect, we cover return shipping. Email us within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the issue.

Store credit

Store credit is issued by email within 5 business days of receiving and inspecting your return. Credit is valid for one year from issue and may be applied toward any future order at milkandhoneybabies.com.

Damaged or incorrect items

If an order arrives damaged or incorrect, we make it right, whatever the item. Final sale does not change this. Email hello@milkandhoneybabies.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue. We will replace, refund or credit as appropriate, and we cover any associated shipping.

Gift recipient returns

If you received an Edit or product as a gift and would like to return an eligible item, email hello@milkandhoneybabies.com with the order number or the name and email of the person who sent it. Gift returns are issued as store credit to the recipient, valid for one year. Edits remain final sale, including gift orders.

Cancellations

Edits enter our studio within 24 hours of order placement. To cancel an order, email hello@milkandhoneybabies.com within 24 hours. After this window, the Edit has entered the studio and cannot be canceled.
