There's a stretch at the very start, after the test and before most people know, when the news belongs to a small circle. Nothing has been bought yet, and very little of it feels real. The Announcement is for that stretch. Four pieces, all of them for her: something to write in, something to light in the evening, something that keeps, and something soft for around the house.
Why we built it
The Announcement is the Edit we built for the first people she tells. The mother, the sister, the closest friend. Most of what she'll receive in the months ahead is for the baby. This one is for her, in the weeks when the news is still hers to share. There's one scent in the box and nothing more, which matters in a first trimester.
