An elephant that stands on its own four feet, hand crocheted in bamboo yarn, with a rattle inside.
Cheengoo design in Portland and hand-crochet each piece with a team of artisan women, most of them mothers, working flexible hours for a fair wage. The yarn comes from the pulp of sustainably harvested bamboo, which is why it is soft in a way cotton isn't.
Four and three quarter inches. Bamboo viscose and polyfill. Tested to ASTM, CPSIA and EN-71.

The bassinet weeks have their own order. A gauze blanket for the lap and the stroller, the sleeping bag for every night, burp cloths for the shoulder, a book for her nightstand, the sound that travels, and one soft thing for later.
Standing Elephant Rattle is one of them.
