After the baby comes, the house fills up with people who have come to see the baby. The flowers are for the baby. The cards are for the baby. The questions, eventually, are about the baby. This is the gift that arrives later — once the visitors have gone home, once the thank-you notes are mostly written, once the question "how are you?" has started getting asked again. Why we built it

For Her, After is the Edit we built for the week that nobody plans for — the week after the baby has arrived, after the visitors have come and gone, after the flowers have started to fade. The first weeks of motherhood are loud with other people's good intentions, and quieter than anyone expects underneath. This Edit is for the underneath. Five small rituals she can do in the time it takes the baby to nap. None of them require a free hour or a babysitter or a partner to take over. They're meant to be done one at a time, in the spaces that exist.

Sizing and selection

The Lunya sleep mask is one size, washable silk — the sleep mask we use across the Edits where silk earns its place. Apotheke Charcoal is a standard 11oz candle, ~50-hour burn time. Homecourt Cocoage is the body wash, not the lotion (the Recovery Stone handles moisture in this Edit). Tenoverten Rose Cuticle Oil is the rose-scented version — pregnancy-safe and nursing-safe.
